The course begins by exploring the SAFe principles, derived from Lean product development, Agile development, DevOps and systems thinking. Following this, the attendees will discuss how to establish Team and Technical Agility and organize around the flow of value. The course then focuses on the importance of adopting a customer-centric mindset and applying Design Thinking as part of the Agile Product Delivery core competency, and provides an opportunity to experience a PI Planning event.
During this two-day course, attendees learn the importance of mastering Business Agility in order to thrive in the digital age and gain insights they can use to lead a Lean-Agile enterprise by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®).
Attendees also gain insights and recommendations for building a Continuous Delivery Pipeline and instilling a DevOps culture. Finally, the attendees will gain an understanding of Lean Portfolio Management and the steps needed for implementing this function in their Enterprise.

Certification renewals are included in your Certified Membership renewal. When you are within 120 days of your membership expiration date you will have the option to renew your membership. Click the “Renew” button, and you’ll be taken to the renewal options page where you can select the type of membership you’d like to renew and proceed through the shopping cart.
Note: You do not need to take the exam again in order to renew your membership.

The SAFe® Community isn’t just where you take your Certification Exam anymore; it is full of additional resources and benefits.
After January 7, 2020, you can upgrade to Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) 5.0 at no cost by logging in to the SAFe Community Platform, and selecting the SAFe 5.0 Upgrade Learning Plan. You must have a certification in good standing to be able to upgrade to 5.0.
The pre-course e-learning is a series of e-learning modules to give you an introduction to Agile and SAFe. They are included in the Getting Started page, which includes resources to help you execute your role in SAFe.
A membership lasts for one year from the date of course completion. This means you will have access to your learning plan and Community Platform assets for an entire year, regardless if you take and pass your certification exam.
