One such program is the workshop on Microsoft Project conducted by Progressive Ventures. Progressive Ventures has conducted more than 40 programs since March 2006 in both the Corporate and Public  frontiers. We have been glad to work with participants coming from different verticals and industries having varied project exposure serving various companies. It has been our consistent endeavor to provide quality education to our participants. 

Microsoft Project tool has been greatly appreciated in the PM community for its flexibility, robustness and its user friendliness. Many of the best practices exercised in the PM community can easily be implemented by Microsoft Project Tool. 

We at Progressive Ventures believe that mere understanding of the features of the tool would not benefit the individual. Hence, we have designed an exclusive methodology in administering the MS Project training program where the entire workshop is driven by a case study. The Participants understand how the entire Project plan can be managed from the instance of receiving the Project charter to the point of closing the Project.  The workshop provides participants with the best practices involved in areas of Planning, Executing, Controlling & Monitoring and closing.

The Principal faculty Mr.P.Seenivasan believes  that a tool can only process what is fed into it, the difference is made by the Project Manager who uses it. Due to his extensive work in PMBOK methodology, conducting PMP training programs both nationally and Internationally, providing consulting services to many top notch companies, and having worked with different industries, Mr.Seenivasan consistently provides participants with insights into the best processes and methodologies practiced for the benefit of the participants.

The Workshop begins with a process mapping exercise where Mr.Seenivasan deals with the practices suggested by PMBOK -PMI USA, and provides the participants with insights into how these and other best practices can be mapped and used through Microsoft Project. The team is then provided a walkthrough of the case study after which the entire team works on the Case study systematically practicing  hands on aspects such as Task planning, Network Optimization, Pert, CPM, Cost Planning, Resource planning, Task Assignments, Resource Leveling, Project Base-lining, Tracking, Variance analysis, Reporting and Multi Project.   Individual focus is provided to the participants by the second faculty who will support the particiapants at their individual desks across the two day workshop.
